FINAL PRODUCT

RESULTS

The successful completion of each of the subsystems, including the lift system, rotation system, control system, and power distribution system, produced a mobile camera assistant that can provide a disabled user complete camera control. Mica can follow the user autonomously and be manually controlled for more accurate positioning. A camera can be precisely adjusted with four degrees of freedom to allow a user to capture photos exactly as they desire. Mica's 7-hour battery life exceeds the design objective, and allows users to comfortably extend their photography session if desired. Overall, Mica is a successful proof of concept for an autonomous robot with camera manipulation capabilities, at reasonable cost in comparison to other commercial camera manipulation equipment.
