Hands-Free Photography
MICA is a Mobile Camera Assistant. MICA's purpose is to assist people with limited motor skills who have difficulty controlling a camera. MICA enables users to control the height and orientation of a camera while following them autonomously.
RESEARCH
Literature review and market research was conducted on modern implementations of camera manipulation systems.
DESIGN PROCESS
A prototype for a lift, rotation and driving system that met or exceeded all of the client's requirements was designed.
PRODUCT
The final product was completed on July 25, 2017 and was showcased on July 25 and July 27, 2017 at the University of Victoria.
